Pasture-raised Eggs

Eggs

Sold out for 2024 Once you've tried pasture raised eggs it is hard to go back to store bought. Our hens spend their days outside, going where they can find the best bugs and grasses, catching the sunshine and bathing in the dust, scratching in the dirt and hiding their eggs on us. During the summer months they are moved on pasture on a daily basis with our goats to make sure they get all the bugs and greens they can eat and produce eggs that don't only look like sunshine, but taste like it too. During the winter months they are in our winter pen with the goats and pigs, adding to our manure pile and produce composte for the coming years.

Old-fashioned and healthy

We raise mostly heritage breeds, a happy and healthy barn yard mix. We have the odd pure bred hen that provides us with fancy coloured eggs, in the end though we mostly care about our hens' ability to thrive in the circumstances we provide them with. Not having an egg-laying breed does mean we don't always have an abundance of eggs available, so check in to make sure we've got some ready for you.

We are now also offering duck eggs. Our ducks have their own ponds to choose from during the summer, avidly help in the garden to keep the slugs down and provide us with wonderful eggs that are amazing for baking, making sausage and the best hamburgers. We have limited amounts available.
